2. Hotel Dhensa Resort – 4 star property

  • The experience:

3. Hotel Meri Puensum – 3 star property

  • The experience:

Situated high above the Punakha Valley, this hotel has wonderful views overlooking the rice terraces and river below.

From the main reception there are pathways leading to the traditionally structured cottages which lie in clearings among the pine trees.

Each cottage is simple in decor but cosy, tastefully furnished and has its own private balcony.

It has a large dining area and bar serving Indian, Chinese, Continental and Bhutanese cuisine and range of international and local beverages.

There is also a small and nice sit-out porch with gardens and flowering plants.
