- The experience:
Located high above the Punakha Valley, Dhensa offers fantastic views overlooking terraced rice fields and a winding river, conveying a very serene and tranquil atmosphere.

3. Hotel Meri Puensum – 3 star property
- The experience:
Situated high above the Punakha Valley, this hotel has wonderful views overlooking the rice terraces and river below.
From the main reception there are pathways leading to the traditionally structured cottages which lie in clearings among the pine trees.
Each cottage is simple in decor but cosy, tastefully furnished and has its own private balcony.
It has a large dining area and bar serving Indian, Chinese, Continental and Bhutanese cuisine and range of international and local beverages.
There is also a small and nice sit-out porch with gardens and flowering plants.
4. Hotel Zingkham – 4 star property

The hotel also features a traditional hot stone bath, a cocktail lounge and horse riding facilities, whilst its restaurant can provide a range of a la carte and set meals that offer a selection of Bhutanese, Asian and Continental dishes.
2. ABC Eco lodge – 3 star property
- The experience:
This new hotel offers beautifully decorated rooms, an a la carte and buffet restaurant, mini library, business center, spa and fitness facilities, hot stone bath and yoga/meditation room.
Privately owned, it is an amazing property located close to Gangtey monastery.
WANGDUE
1. Hotel Dragon Nest Resort – 3 star property
- The experience:
Conveniently located between Wangduephodrang and Punakha on the west bank of the river, this hotel features 17 spacious, clean and comfortable rooms providing panoramic views of the valley with a sense of peace and serenity.
All rooms have attached bathrooms with hot and cold water.

2. Hotel Lobesa – 3 star property
- The experience:
